The goal of the project is to launch safe, cost-effective and large-scale cargo transportation without the presence of the driver. The use of drone will allow at least an hour to reduce the time of delivery of goods between cities and reduces the cost of cargo transportation at least by 10%. The launch of the corridor is scheduled for 2024, but in some parts of the track, drone traffic can begin next year.

In testing, exclusively electric cars will be involved, which in the future it is planned to equip hydrogen fuel cells to increase the running distance at one refueling — along with the drone, it will reduce the cost of carriage up to two times, in comparison with the use of trucks for DVS.

Until 2030, 19.5 thousand km of federal roads will be included in the unmanned corridors.

According to the calculations of the Ministry of Transport, the use of drones on M-11 will allow for 2030 to increase by 25% commercial speed (from 60 to 75 km / h) delivery of goods within one day and more than 10% reduce the cost of transportation for logistics companies.
